Against the backdrop of his work, the Fahrende Raum will speak with Markus Ambach about the possibilities for artists to initiate spaces for social action in an urban context.<\/span><\/p>\n Markus Ambach (*1963)<\/span><\/p>\n is an artist, curator, author and initiator of numerous art projects and exhibitions, especially in the public sphere. He studied at the Kunstakademie D\u00fcsseldorf and founded the project platform MAP in 2002, which developed and implemented context-specific projects in the urban sphere, but also theme-specific exhibitions spaces. Exhibitions such as <\/span>B1 | A40 Die Sch<\/span>\u00f6<\/span>nheit der gro\u00dfen Stra\u00df<\/span>e <\/span>[<\/span>B1 | A40 The Beauty of the Big Street<\/span>] <\/span>and <\/span>Choreografie einer Landschaft<\/span> [<\/span>Choreography of a Landscape<\/span>] <\/span>investigate the relationship between art, society, urbanity and city <\/span>together <\/span>with artists, academics, residents and other groups within society. Markus Ambach has taught at several <\/span>schools<\/span> and academies including the Akademie der Bil<\/span>d<\/span>enden K\u00fcnste Stuttgart, the UDK Berlin and currently at the RWTH Aachen. He is the author of numerous texts and the editor of various publications.<\/span><\/p>\n
